Station Programming Software

When the DEMCO WEDGE system was originally developed, one of the initial challenges was to develop a system that allowed end-users to easily debug and program the stations. The SUPERWEDGE software was developed to address this challenge.

With the SUPERWEDGE , the end-user can easily program a station by simply clicking check boxes, entering timer values and setting up alarm codes. No knowledge of ladder logic or other high level languages is required. All protocol for interface to the base chassis is handled in the background transparent to the operator.

One of the greatest benefits of the SUPERWEDGE software is for maintenance. With a click of a button, the software instantly points to the cause of an alarm, giving instant feedback to the cause of the problem. Gone are the days of searching through pages of ladder logic, trying to identify faults.

Base Chassis Configuration Software

BASE LINE is a configuration utility that is used to set-up the family of DEMCO WEDGE base chassis.

Typically, this software is used to initially configure the base chassis for a specific assembly task. All options such as light towers functionality, dial direction, part past pick off sensors, and many others are configurable with this software.

Production Monitoring Software

WEDGE MONITOR was developed to deliver a complete automation cell. The software logs detailed production and alarm data. This information is available for use by production, quality, and planning personnel.

The downtime portion of the software records data to a station alarm level. This gives maintenance personnel instant feedback as to what issues they need to address.

The production data records information that can be used for planning and scheduling purposes.
