The Demco Wedge base chassis provides a platform that can be scaled to meet any requirements. Whether you need a simple benchtop operation, or need a pallet conveyor system with space for twenty operations on one machine, you will find a Demco Wedge Chassis that can meet your needs.

The philosophy behind Demco Wedge is one of no obsolescence. For that reason, each chassis is built to last. Our rugged framing (3 inch welded steel supports) provides a solid foundation for our Wedge stations to operate on. We use 1 inch blanchard steel tabletops for maximum durability and robustness, and feature such quality names as Camco, Bosch and FMC for our indexers, in-line conveyors, and feeders.

Demco's unique controls system truly creates a “plug and play” operation.

Demco Wedge is built on the basis of distributed controls. The Wedge chassis houses a patented controls architecture in the overhead panels, using either Allen Bradley or Siemens hardware. The chassis controls keep track of production and process data on the machine. The actual process being performed by the Wedge station is controlled by the distributed controls housed in each Wedge station.

This means that a Wedge station can operate as a stand-alone benchtop station by plugging power and air into the Wedge station, or can be fully automated by plugging into a Wedge chassis. There's no additional programming necessary. By simply plugging and unplugging Wedge stations, a Wedge chassis can be modified or completely reconfigured, eliminating obsolescence forever.

Demco offers several different styles of Wedge chassis:

These can be outfitted with hepa filters for clean room applications, and accommodate robots, parts feeders, and conveyors.
